How It Works

1

Reach Our Rockwall Office, No Referral Usually Needed

Our staff will go over any questions with you by phone, or you can reserve a visit on your own through our online booking page.

2

Get Your Wound Seen Quickly

Same-day and next-day appointments are often available. The longer a foot or leg wound stays open, the greater the risk of infection, and an infected wound can threaten the limb.

3

Leave With A Clear Plan For Your Wound

Your podiatrist examines the wound, talks with you about what may be holding it back, and builds a treatment plan. If PRP is a good fit for you, it is discussed as part of that plan.

*** Please note eligibility for all treatments varies based on insurance and conditions. We will let you know exactly what you qualify for when we contact you. Appointment wait times also vary based on availability.

Frequently Asked Questions

When patients ask us about PRP for wound care, the same few questions tend to come up, and we answer them below.

PRP stands for platelet-rich plasma, and it is one of the regenerative options we offer for foot and lower-leg wounds that have stopped healing. It is used as part of a full wound treatment plan rather than on its own, and your podiatrist decides with you whether it belongs in yours.

It depends on your wound and your overall health. Your podiatrist will examine the wound, review your history, and tell you honestly whether PRP makes sense for you. Your insurance plays a part as well, and we check that with you at the visit.

We treat wounds of the foot and lower leg, including diabetic foot ulcers, wounds that have stopped healing, foot and leg wounds after surgery, venous wounds of the lower leg, and infected foot wounds. We do not treat wounds elsewhere on the body, and all care takes place in our offices.

In most cases, yes. We accept Medicare and most major health insurance. Before any treatment, our team checks your benefits with you, because what a plan covers can differ from one treatment to the next.
