Our physicians, Dr. Christian Morrison and Dr. Asif Khan, both hold the Certificate of Added Qualification in Amputation Prevention and Wound Care from the American Board of Podiatric Medicine, one of the most advanced credentials available in this specialty.
Dr. Khan brings additional depth to our wound care program through his fellowship training in Diabetic Limb Salvage and Wound Care at Beaumont Health — specialized training focused specifically on saving limbs and healing complex diabetic wounds that have not responded to standard treatment. Every patient at Lonestar receives direct, personal care from one of our doctors. You will never be handed off to a medical assistant or support staff for your wound evaluation or treatment plan.

Learn Who We Are
Dr. Christian Morrison, a native of northern Idaho, was homeschooled during his upbringing and completed his LDS Mission in Las Vegas, Nevada before earning his Bachelor of Sciences degree with a focus on Microbiology from the University of Nevada. He went on to complete his Doctorate in Podiatric Medicine and Surgery at the California School of Podiatric Medicine at Samuel Merritt University in California. Dr. Morrison is board-certified by the American Board of Podiatric Medicine and holds the Certificate of Added Qualification in Amputation Prevention and Wound Care, bringing specialized expertise in treating complex diabetic foot conditions and non-healing wounds to patients across Plano and the surrounding communities.
Dr. Asif Khan was raised in the metro Detroit area and earned his bachelor's degree from the University of Michigan, Dearborn. He went on to complete his doctorate in podiatric medicine and surgery from the California School of Podiatric Medicine at Samuel Merritt University in Oakland, CA.
Dr. Khan returned to Michigan to complete his residency in Podiatric Medicine and Surgery at Beaumont Health, serving as Chief Resident in his final year. He then completed a fellowship in Diabetic Limb Salvage and Wound Care at Beaumont Health — advanced training focused specifically on healing complex diabetic wounds and preventing amputation in high-risk patients.
Dr. Khan is Board Certified by the American Board of Podiatric Medicine and holds the Certificate of Added Qualification in Amputation Prevention and Wound Care issued by the ABPM. His research has been published in multiple peer-reviewed medical journals.
In his free time, Dr. Khan enjoys spending time with his wife and son. He loves calling Texas home and serving the greater Dallas community.
