Schedule online in a few clicks, or call our office first if you want to ask about PRP before you come in.
Tell us whether the Rockwall or Plano office is easier for you, and a first heel pain visit can often land on the day you call or the next one.
Your podiatrist examines your heel, explains whether PRP, shockwave, orthotics, or another option suits your case, and starts treatment when you are ready.
*** Openings in our schedule change from day to day. Not every patient or every insurance plan qualifies for PRP or the other treatments on this page, so your eligibility is confirmed with you at the visit.
Before booking, people weighing PRP for plantar fasciitis tend to ask about referrals, wait times, and insurance, and above all whether PRP suits their heel.
In most cases, yes. Your insurance plan or your condition can affect whether you need one, and the front desk can confirm it when you call (972) 643-8242 or send an appointment request.
Same-day and next-day appointments often available. If heel pain is keeping you off your feet, call us and we will find you the earliest opening at our Rockwall or Plano office.
Coverage for PRP varies from plan to plan. Most major insurance accepted, including Medicare. We will verify your benefits and explain your options.
Your podiatrist makes that call with you at the first visit. They examine the heel and walk you through whether PRP, or a different option such as shockwave therapy or custom orthotics, is the better fit for you. The Ask A Question form on this page is there for anything you want answered ahead of that visit.
Lonestar Podiatry & Wound Care offers PRP for plantar fasciitis as a regenerative injection option inside a wider heel pain treatment plan. PRP, short for platelet-rich plasma, concentrates your own platelets so your podiatrist can inject them at the damaged plantar fascia near the heel. Before recommending it, Dr. Christian Morrison or Dr. Asif Khan examines your heel and confirms whether you are eligible for the treatment.
PRP sits alongside the other heel pain treatments the practice provides: shockwave therapy, laser treatment for pain and inflammation, and custom orthotics, which the practice pairs with gait analysis. When PRP is the right fit for your heel, your podiatrist sets the number of injections and the schedule of follow-up visits.
Lonestar Podiatry & Wound Care evaluates heel pain, including whether PRP for plantar fasciitis is a fit, at its Rockwall office: 6800 Heritage Pkwy, Suite 104, Rockwall, TX 75087, also known as the Lake Pointe clinic. The office serves the Rockwall, Rowlett, Wylie, and Sachse area.
The practice’s podiatrists, Dr. Christian Morrison and Dr. Asif Khan, are board certified by the American Board of Podiatric Medicine and hold hospital privileges at Medical City, Baylor, Texas Health, and Methodist. The practice also has an office at 412 Village Dr, Suite 300, in Plano. To book a heel pain visit, call (972) 643-8242 or schedule online, and the front office will check your benefits for PRP.
