Dr. Christian Morrison, a native of the remote northern Idaho backwoods, was homeschooled during his upbringing. After completing his LDS Mission in Las Vegas, Nevada, he returned to the city to earn his Bachelor of Sciences degree with a focus on Microbiology from the University of Nevada, Las Vegas. Subsequently, he pursued his Doctorate in Podiatric Medicine and Surgery at the California School of Podiatric Medicine at Samuel Merritt University in California. While he cherished his time in California, he was thrilled to relocate to his beloved state, Texas.
Dr. Asif Khan was raised in the metro Detroit area, and earned his bachelor's degree from the University of Michigan, Dearborn. He then went on to earn his doctorate in podiatric medicine and surgery from California School of Podiatric Medicine at Samuel Merritt University in Oakland, CA.
Dr. Khan returned to Michigan to complete his residency in Podiatric Medicine and Surgery at Beaumont Health, where he served as Chief Resident his final year of training. He then went on to complete a prestigious fellowship at Beaumont Health in Diabetic Limb Salvage and Wound Care.
Dr. Khan is Board Certified by the American Board of Podiatric Medicine (ABPM). He also holds the Certificate of Added Qualification in Amputation Prevention and Wound Care issued by the ABPM. Dr. Khan's research has been published in multiple medical journals.
In his free time, Dr. Khan enjoys spending time with his wife and son. He loves calling Texas home and serving the greater Dallas community.

Patients often have plenty of questions about heel pain: what is causing it, how long it lasts, and which treatments actually work. Here are answers to the ones we hear most from Rockwall patients.
Most heel pain comes from plantar fasciitis, but heel spurs, Achilles tendinitis, bursitis, nerve irritation, and stress fractures can all feel similar. A focused exam, and imaging when needed, lets our podiatrists pinpoint the exact cause so you get the right treatment the first time instead of guessing.
We offer same-day and next-day appointments whenever possible, so you do not have to wait weeks for relief. If your heel pain is making it hard to walk, work, or exercise, call our office and we will find you the earliest available time.
Most patients do not need a referral to get started, and we accept most major insurance, including Medicare. Call us or submit an appointment request and our team will verify your benefits and explain your options clearly before your visit.
Mild heel pain sometimes eases with rest, but pain that lingers beyond a couple of weeks usually needs treatment to fully resolve, and ignoring it often makes it worse. Options range from stretching, custom orthotics, and shockwave therapy to advanced injections, and we build a plan matched to your specific condition.
If you are searching for effective heel pain treatment in Rockwall, our board-certified podiatrists diagnose and treat every common cause of heel pain, from plantar fasciitis and heel spurs to Achilles tendinitis, bursitis, and nerve-related pain. Many Rockwall patients come to us after months of sharp heel pain in the morning, aching after standing, or discomfort that keeps returning. Instead of masking the symptom, we identify exactly what is driving your pain and build a treatment plan focused on lasting relief so you can get back on your feet.
Lonestar Podiatry & Wound Care serves Rockwall along with Rowlett, Plano, Murphy, Wylie, Sachse, and the surrounding North Texas communities, so specialist foot and ankle care is easy to reach without driving into central Dallas. Whether your heel pain is new or something you have managed for years, our team combines advanced diagnostics with modern treatments such as custom orthotics, shockwave therapy, and PRP to help you walk comfortably again. Same-day and next-day appointments are often available for patients in Rockwall and nearby.
As a leading podiatry practice serving Rockwall and the greater DFW area, we provide advanced evaluation and treatment for both routine and stubborn heel pain. From conservative care like stretching guidance, custom orthotics, and shockwave therapy to advanced options such as PRP and laser treatment for pain and inflammation, our foot doctors focus on correcting the underlying problem rather than offering temporary relief.
